The camps listed below are specialized for children who have a disability, enabling them to participate in fun, fulfilling activities and events with friends this summer. It’s not too late to sign up your loved ones or pass this information along to anyone else who might be interested. Don’t wait – some of these camps are beginning very soon!
Easter Seals Crossroads Camp Ability Day Program
Easter Seals Crossroads is offering a Camp Ability Day camp program this summer that is currently accepting camper registrations. The Camp Ability program has two locations, one in Indianapolis on Kingsway Drive for children ages 4-9 and one in Greenwood for campers age 5-11.
Camp Ability is a day camp program offering three two-week sessions starting June 13, June 27th, and July 11th. Campers will have days filled with activities, crafts and even field trips to places such as the Indianapolis Zoo, Children’s Museum and therapeutic horseback riding!
Camp days are Monday – Thursday from 9am until 3pm. Cost for the camp is $300 per two-week session and any child with a disability is welcomed to attend.

YMCA Flat Rock River Summer Camp
The YMCA is accepting camper registration for its overnight Flat Rock River Summer Camp located in St. Paul, Indiana, approximately 45 minutes South East on Indianapolis.
Sessions are one and two weeks long with a new session starting every Sunday between June 12th and July 31st.
Camp cost varies per session with session one taking place from June 12th – July 3rd and session two happening between July 10th – July 31st. Session one costs are $539 for non-member and $486 for YMCA members. Session two costs are $599 for non-members and $536 for YMCA members. Flat Rock River Camp also offers financial assistance for low-income families and a $15 camp for families who have unemployed or deployed family members.

Bradford Woods Therapeutic Recreation Camp
Bradford Woods, located in Martinsville, Indiana also offers a Therapeutic Recreation camp for individuals with Special Needs. They offer several different sessions which are specific towards different disabilities.
