CareStar Learning Community

Home and community-based services, the alternative to nursing facility care, is a massively growing industry. Across the country, states are showing a steady increase in the number of personal care assistants to meet this demand.  Likewise, CareStar Learning is pioneering ways to assure the workforce is continuously trained and ready for the ongoing challenges of home and community caregiving.

Months of user-generated feedback have shown that providers are facing more difficult and complex situations than ever before, yet there is a shortage of resources offering them assistance.  Relevant, high-quality continuing education is one solution to this dilemma, but it still does not address practical application requests.

To meet this need, CareStar Learning has implemented a new tool for providers entitled “CareStar Learning Community,” which allows them to share stories about their struggles and successes.  This is a valuable online resource, as reports show that most caregivers experience similar challenges, and learning from one another is as valuable as learning from a book.

Join the CareStar Learning Community by “Liking” us on Facebook and share your challenges, advice and success stories on our wall.
