By Thomas Gruber, President
November 4, 2011Annually since 1993, CareStar has awarded scholarships to nursing students through the Josephine Walters Scholarship Fund. The fund, named in memory of CareStar President Tom Gruber's grandmother, was established to enable CareStar and its employees to give back to the communities that support CareStar’s operations . Annually, these scholarships provide students with financial support to enab
le them to continue their education and provide our communities with skilled nurses.
CareStar awards scholarships to students at Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Canton, OH, Mt Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio and Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Health Science in Cincinnati, OH. The scholarships are designed to assist worthy students in financial need to complete their nursing education.
This year, CareStar awarded seven scholarships totaling $22,500 to students at these schools. "It is an honor and privilege to assist these students who are dedicated to making our communities better places" said CareStar President Tom Gruber.
The students who are awarded the Josephine Walters Scholarship are among the future healthcare leaders of America. CareStar is proud to assist these individuals in meeting their goals while honoring the dedication and example of Josephine Walters. Our congratulations to the 2011 scholarship winners!

Thank you CareStar and all of home care for giving me the opportunity to stay independent even with my TBI.

I was looking for health related blog site. Great blog Article! That’s exactly the reason why I don’t comment on some of my favorite blog posts…… because the writer doesn’t make it easy for me to do so unless I have one of those accounts. I’d leave a lot more comments if more bloggers opened up their comments to anyone.
