Statement in Response to Ohio Medicaid Announcement

"We have been informed today of Ohio Medicaid’s intent to open up our current contract for re-bid upon its scheduled completion date. CareStar has been under contract with the state of Ohio since 1997 and will submit its application to the state to continue providing in-home care-management services to its residents.  In a statement made by Ohio Medicaid Director John McCarthy, it is our understanding that the state intends to terminate the contract with another provider not associated with CareStar."

Through its oversight of 10,000 home care providers, CareStar manages the care of almost 14,000 disabled Ohioans through the Ohio Home Care Program.
