The American Red Cross
First Aid – 4 hour course. Length of certification 3 years. Cost varies depending on location. Range $20-$30.

CPR for Adults – 4 hour course. Length of certification 1 year. Cost varies depending on location. Range $20-$50

CPR for Children – 4 hour course. Length of certification 1 year. Cost varies depending on location. Range $22.50 - $45.

Community CPR (Adult and Children) 8 hours. Length of certification 1 year. Cost varies depending on location. Range $25 - $50

Dealing with Blood borne pathogens – 3 hour course. Length of certification 1 year. Cost varies depending on location. Range $20-$30.

Communicable Disease Training – 6 hours. Length of certification 3 years. Cost and availability varies by location. Average $50.

Caregiving -- Caregiving consists of nine one-hour modules covering topics including General Caregiving skills, Positioning and helping someone move, home safety, nutrition, assisting with personal care and caring for the caregiver. Courses are taught in most large Red Cross chapters across the state. The courses can also be taught by individuals who have healthcare certification and/or licensure related to patient care including doctors, nurse, licensed social worker, occupational/physical therapist, and certified nursing assistant. Cost varies.
