Citizen Corps Mission
The mission of Citizen
Corps is to harness the power of every individual through education,
training, and volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger,
and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime,
public health issues, and disasters of all kinds.
Citizen Corps Council
activities include:
Educate
residents about disaster preparedness measures;
Implement
public education and outreach efforts;
Provide
training to improve citizen preparedness, prevention and response
capabilities;
Promote
the importance of drills in the home, workplace, and school;
Coordinate
citizen participation in community disaster response activities;
Coordinate
