The Ohio
Department of Aging works closely with statewide agencies, advocates
and service providers to advocate for and serve older Ohioans. Check
out the sections below to learn more about who we are and what we
do.
The Ohio Department of
Aging believes that everyone has the right to receive the care they
need in the settings they prefer. The aging network helps Ohioans
understand their options for care and ensures your rights as a consumer
are not infringed.
Federal law mandates
that each state designate a unit on Aging. The Department of Aging
is a cabinet-level state agency with a Director appointed by the
Governor. The Department receives and administers funding from a
variety of sources and oversees a variety of programs.
