CareStar Technology Services
Technical Information plays a major role in providing the answers and insights necessary to successfully manage a Home and Community-Based Service (HCBS) program. The demand for information continues to increase as states and the federal government require more data and accountability for the dollars spent on these programs. CareStar Information Systems (CSIS) is charged with meeting these information needs.
At the core of the CSIS solution is an internally-developed, web-based application which addresses the processing of eligibility assessments, service plans, incident reporting, document management, service provider management and more. Initially created in 2004, hundreds of enhancements have been made to this application to address the ever-growing challenges of managing large statewide case management and quality assurance programs. This application has been (and continues to be) the primary focus of our software development team.
Support of HCBS programs requires not only a sound software platform, but also an infrastructure to house and distribute such functionality. CSIS provides the necessary hardware, network, disaster recovery and security support to make this happen. Utilizing a team of seasoned IT management professionals, CSIS delivers solutions that ensure our user base has the appropriate levels of system availability, performance and protection.
CSIS, through a combination of custom software and sound infrastructure, delivers on its charge of providing the information and processes necessary to successfully manage a Home and Community-Based Service program.

The fact that you have on-call supervisors to consult with after-hours has proven useful on at least one occasion. I can't begin to express how much reassurance it gave me to have our teams working together at that critical time.
